I tend to agree with your prognosis and for a younger guy there will be work. The retirement and death of us baby boomers opens up lots of opportunities for the Generation X and Z to replace us with progressive thinkers not afraid of change and creating new business models.

I don't think boomers are working anymore. Gen X are the new boomers.

We definitely need it, but we cant seem to build more than 1.5 million units a year. We need to build like 2-2.5 million for several years in a row, in the right places too. Hard to do that with labor shortages and rising materials costs.
