The Facebook groups are excessive drama, venting and pseudo arrogance. They're like those amoeba churches that continually splinter into new ones until you have dozens attempting to reach "purity". One of the worst things is there are no sub forums so if you wanted to read Santora's USPAP posts, you'll have to scroll through hundreds of posts by idiots about getting their shirt caught on a chain link fence and it ruining their day. I've been banned from about 3 of them and rarely even peek in them any more.

I joined facebook mainly to keep up with people I grew up with, it was fun for a while, then a waste of time. The appraiser groups there were little more than soap operas and very boring. I only use facebook now to see how big a deer or bear my boyhood pals shot or to see who’s currently locked up for absconding, drunk and disorderly, etc. I didn’t exactly have a country club upbringing like most of you folks did. Now to answer your question, the reason I haven’t friended you is because I’m particular who I associate with, I don’t consort with liberals, rustlers or Certified Generals.

I joined the VA appraisers group to keep up with VA topics, but within two months I challenged the Admin (Dean House) for saying that venting of a heat source was no longer a VA MPR. I posted the page showing it was still a VA MPR in the current Handbook. He promptly stated I was a bully from Appraisers Forum and expelled me.

I am most likely geo competent, but I doubt the fee would be worth it to red line all the USPAP violations in one of your reports.

I remember you posting about that incident, I’m curious what made him upset at you. When he used to post here he seemed like a nice guy, very smart with computers from what I recall. Maybe he saw some of your posts directed at people you know which were sarcastic and he assumed you were being mean. I’ve seen it happen before in here.

First, I am amazed you have friends.

Country club upbringing? I have been a proud member of the Gabriel Deannunzio club AKA the Pitcairn Italian Club for close to 50 years. Twenty bucks a year if you're an Eyetalian. 15 bucks if you're not and just a Big Dumb Guy. I've saved 250 bucks.

I don't use Facebook but I use it to vet my potential tenants. One time I thought he looked like a gangbanger when younger. Why he left that photo there, I have no idea.
Anyway, I think I'm a good judge of character and he was young and dumb. I rented to him having a cosigner of course.
