Help I Am Being Screwed By The VA Dpor!

I know the minutes for board discipline hearings in Arizona will mention if the appraiser has an attorney, and will occasionally mention the attorney by name. Are the minutes for the Virginia board posted on their website? I was certified just a few months before the deadline, so I know how much work you went through. Good luck.
Thanks! And yes, it was a lot of work, especially while working and being in school, while caring for my elderly mother with my husband overseas. I did not sleep much and hate to see it all go for naught.

I see what you are saying, however the information about deadlines was given to me directly by a member of the DPOR on the Appraisal Board, who directly approves appraisal licensure. He said I had to have all the requirements fulfilled and just be approved to sit for the exam before Jan. 1st, 2015. I assumed the information to be correct, being that he was an authority on the subject.

Not mucvh of an authority was he? He has no power to change AQB requirements.

Yeah, some type of irony going on there in the background.

I wonder how many there are in her shoes nationwide.

2015 number of new certified are likely to be skewed by cases like hers. I bet 2016 numbers won't be. 2015 numbers may not be before it is over based on the OP post.

I know, which makes me wonder how much I should invest and how far I can take this. It will be financially and emotionally devastating either way. As I was looking up disciplinary hearing information, which is posted on the state newsletter, I just found a section about the "upcoming changes" and it also states that "Anyone seeking licensure under the current requirements must submit a complete and correct application no later than December 31, 2014."
So it seems what I was told was the general consensus of the Appraisal Board, rather than the misunderstanding of one Board member being that they published it in their newsletter.

Too bad you cannot sue the board member providing the incorrect information for malfeasance in office.

Coester proves the lawsuit or threat of one gets DPOR attention.

When I applied for my license I had in writing how the experience log was to be completed.

I did so.

Another person reviewed my experience log and rejected over 1500 of the hours. Guess why?

The log was not completed properly according to them. I forwarded the email indicating I had done as directed by another employee.

I still had to re-create my log to the second employees satisfaction. My fix was simple but, the OP situation is much more complex.

The state don't have authority over the FED's. That is a problem. They just don't have it. Now they can enforce laws all day long within their jurisdiction that the FED may ignore, but there is a difference. The FED is not ignoring this law apparently. The state of VA or any other state has no authority here. None, zero, naught.

Should I contact someone at the ASC or the AQB?

To the OP, don't try to sue the government unless you get an attorney to take it on consignment.
