Help I Am Being Screwed By The VA Dpor!

I was told several times by a member of the VA DPOR board that as long as I had those completed in time and was approved, I could sit for the exam after Jan. 1st. I have an email from the Board stating as such.

The email is your golden ticket. Try to pry it from your cold dead hands......

Best of luck champ. Welcome to the best job on the planet.

Thank you for pointing me towards the professional licensing attorneys! However my hearing is in Richmond, VA. I was able to Google a few in that area and will try to call during business hours tomorrow. I know the email should count for something, but the state is blaming federal regulation for their hands being tied. So I don't know how this is going to turn out.

Maybe Don Clark will see this and help you with an attorney recommendation.
PM Don.

Thanks, I will! I am new to posting on this forum but I should be able to figure it out.

Ok, maybe not, lol. I see where I can start a "conversation" with a member. Is this the same as sending a PM?

keep in touch on this thread. lot of good advice always here. if they decide against you it will not be cheap to go court wise, and time wise if they tell you to stop will kill you. i think you definitely need an attorney there to threaten them with going to court. that did help my friend. also, a public relations disaster for them with husband serving country. mention that it might make an interesting evening news spin.

I am not sure how I would distinguish them from other certified appraisers...
Just call everyone who got licensed/certified in the last couple years - can't be that many
