Help Please! Window Bars, No Releases

Hey, if all my peers are taking part on assignment creep, I want in. My peers are extracting $100 from the lender/borrower all day long?

Guess I'll start cashing in too. 9 out 10 houses I see don't have 1 of the following: pool security gate or sirens, CO detector, water heater double strapped, cat/dog door at garage fire door not blocked off, self closing fire door at garage. I'll see what else I feel like calling out. Oh, 1 builder didn't put on NRP, on garage exit doors, I'll call those out too.

Before I partake in my peers extraction of money, any legal recourse from homeowner for stealing this $100 from them?

Is this not a whistle blower case?

Appraisers stealing money?

I saw a case of 9 burn up recently. There was evidence of some trying to get out. It was horrible. I think code enforcement is working on changing local regulations.

A little 38 cal would work. I used to know a judge who slept with his pistol right between his mattresses. He slept on top of it. No bars on the windows.

A sawed off shotgun is legal in some places with a permit.

Would not an appraiser's knowledge of FHA standards also result in the need to consider whether those standards, presumably conservative, should be self-imposed and consequently applied to non-FHA assignments as well, based on a presumption that the rigor would not be mandatory unless the need was warranted?
I believe that my openly agonizing over this issue with my favorite AMC Mgr. ( honestly, there are some good ones who pay well and quickly!) may have been a tipping point...they have incorporated new guidelines/ requirements, highlighted in red, on every appraisal order-- in short, zero tolerance for fixed window bars.

A couple of pit bulls would be safer than security bars without quick releases. Lol

Seriously, somebody would think long and hard before coming through a window if they heard the dogs first. The dogs would hear them or smell them before they heard the dogs. Some dogs would anyway. I used to have one that could hear a car turn in a driveway 800 ft away. I used to tell people she could hear a mouse poot in the front yard from inside the house and smell it too. Her bark then sounded like a lion's roar.

If gonna make subject to, I'd also make subject to removal of 10 items plugged into 1 outlet, removal of Ferret and subject to the removal of the Samsung Note 7 that has recall for catching fire that you observed on the counter.

If you want to be the safety police, I'd go whole hog and actually make the home safe for the owner and bank.

If just want to appraise the home, I'd report and finish an as-is appraisal.
You maybe should consider another line of work---would you ignore exposed wiring? Rotting sub-floors? Broken windows? Maybe look up the guidelines for answering the question, " are there any adverse influences or conditions that affect the ..." We're not inspectors but to ignore blatant issues that affect value, well, you sound like an idiot. We are not required to report things because we're protecting, or trying to protect stupid people, it has to do with the value---hazardous conditions impact value, period. End of story.

You must not be in California, or a very bright person. Did you vote for Trump?

The next James Bond movie needs Honey West in it. :) Please don't take it personal. Your way above his costars. It would be a good name though for his next costar. Lol
