I do one a day. No more, no less.

Pretty much the same here. If I get backed up I'll write on the weekends or maybe do 1.5 in a day to catch up, but that is super rare for me. Keeping it to one a day has made this a much more enjoyable profession.

But 150 really equivalent to like 110-120 salary with beneefits

13-18 per week with one amazing office manager, (wifey). We cherry pic because we can, 14 years experience in the market.

A lot of appraisers make $100-$150/year. 7 x $450 x 48 = $151,200.

I guess that depends on your definition of "A Lot" 5%-10%?

Let's see, that's about 3 hours per appraisal, Amazing!!.

I do 3-6 per week depending on the complexity. I do mostly private work with two direct lender clients that feed me work infrequently but help me stay on top of lender requirements. There was a time when I used to do 8-10 per week. But that was before my kids were born and I could work 60 hours a week. I am happy with this pace.
