Fannie wants to try hybrids because of the turn time as compared to a 1004. They feel they can get faster turn time without a significant increase in risk Simple as that. It may work. It may not.

The 2 companies that have contacted me don't require inspectors provide a sketch....
So no taping necessary...

In that case, I doubt that those are for the Fannie hybrid pilot.

I don't think the decision makers at Fannie Mae are idiots. I think that it is more they are too cozy with AMC interests than that they are idiots.

I am sure they understand that comparing speed of interior inspection appraisal with speed of exterior only hybrid appraisal does not make sense.

Consider that some of them are related to people on the AMC side, and oh my, from the revolving door, some of their former co-workers are now AMC lobbyists, lobbying them directly. Oh my, and some of them are even the same people, because there is no restriction on owning an AMC, just cause you work at a GSE.

I don't know if it is funny or unfortunate that the two possible scenarios are either

1) Decision makers are corrupt, or
2) Decision makers are idiots and easy to mislead.
