I have to switch to iPhone

I don't think the 17 has anything to offer that I really need.
Prob better chip that can run local AI models (once Apple finally figures that out, they are lagging like crazy).

This looks pretty good:

Best android I owned was a Pixel (no bloatware, everything worked, awesome camera)

Bolding mine. Probably the #1 reason to upgrade regularly.

I upgraded to iPhone 16 two weeks ago. It actually turned out to be an excellent deal.

1. For the iPhone upgrade, I just pay $15/month for 24 months, since they gave me about $850 for trading in my iPhone 14 Pro Max and also a sale discount on the iPhone 16 Pro Max.
2. The iPhone 16 is the only and last Titanium model. Actually, despite all the bad publicity on the glass cracking if dropped, apparently, they are in fact a lot tougher than the aluminum phones, including the new iPhone 17. And no, the glass really doesn't break because the Titanium is too brittle.
3. On trading in, oh, Xfinity is so nice - they let me trade in my old internet modem for a new one and upgraded my speed from 1Gbps to 2Gbps Unlimited, for $15 extra per month.
4. They gave me Peacock Premium free for 12 months - but sorry, I don't watch regular TV anymore, strictly YouTube, Netflix, Prime, DW (Deutsche Welle), Apple Music, Sirius XM.

Xfinity has been very nice to me. I had T-Mobile before, and before that, Verizon for many years. Xfinity is so much cheaper - and yet provides superior service.

And, I recommend going with the entire Apple Ecosystem. Besides being much more tightly integrated and secure than Windows or Linux, it has some very important productivity software tools that Windows can't match. For example, Windows has no equivalent to DEVONthink, a software tool many attorneys use to help manage their case work, i.e., research and documentation. Also, researchers who publish a lot of papers use it as their go-to database for storing notes and documentation. Then there is OmniFocus for task management, Obsidian for outlining, Keyboard Maestro, and so on. There is another competitor to DEVONthink - and that is "Elephas," which some reviewers say ties in better to AI systems like ChatGPT, but #1 it is also only available for MacOS, and #2, it lacks some critical features that DEVONthink has.

Suppose you want to become more productive in using the computer. In that case, macOS is really the way to go, because for the past 25 years, that's what the "productivity people" like attorneys and academic researchers flock to. And Apple has made some excellent decisions in architecting its ecosystem. - There is always a learning curve. - You can get the best advice from "MacSparky," the nickname for former attorney David Sparks, who lives in Irvine, CA, and now devotes his time to making courses for MacOS productivity tools. He has some excellent videos on the most critical MacOS productivity tools: OmniFocus, Obsidian, DEVONthink, Alfred 5, Keyboard Maestro, ....

Oh then there is Kourosh Dini, a psychiatrist and psychoanalyst in Chicago, who has written several books on productivity, including one on DEVONthink, and has a number of video courses on improving your productivity:

And the entrepreneur/musician Stephen Hackett ( a very busy guy actually ):

And notable others.

I bought a used Samsung S22 for $140 from Walmart and paid for an extra phone line just to use my Android Auto. My 16 "pro" "max" (LOL) still doesn't work correctly with my new Honda's Carplay bc well, it's utter dogshi and a 3 year base model Samsung makes it work perfect. This isn't an exotic foreign supercar it's a freaking CRV. They know it's a known issue (devs are working on it) and the workaround they told me is to wait for an update. That was 2 months and 2 updates ago absolute clown world.jpg show company but happy it works for your purposes.

You do know when the iPhone 17 comes out after September 19, the old model iphone 16 price will drop.

Not because of LIDAR which I want to use when the 3.6 form comes out but because all ladies use them
I suppose if I was single and on the dating scene, I would get an iPhone. Not just because of the ladies but because of LIDAR. I would scan my date's place because if things started to go south.... I could plan my escape route.

Bedroom window always worked for me.
