I have two questions for specialists regarding UAD 3.6.

After reading all of the hysterics concerning 3.6, I was underwhelmed

Underwhelmed by Nighthawk or the 3.6 standard in general? And meaning, it's overblown or really not so bad?

After all of the hysteria and hyperbole, I kinda expected the worst but approached it with an open mind instead of a negative attitude. Nighthawk seems pretty simple, but that's just me. As far as i am concerned, the 3.6 standard just seems to be an expansion of 2.6, nothing to panic about.

Agree. Expansion and reorganization.

Definitely underestimated how much longer my first 3.6 was going to take tho. Obviously it should get better as it becomes routine, but probably gonna need quite a few under my belt before it does.

Same here when it comes to doing one. But like you said, once you get a little experience and develop some "muscle memory" it should become easier

Opportunity is knocking! I have seen the following, or similar, in several places. Must be coming through AMCs, and I'm not in their loop, so haven't seen it from the horse's mouth:

"Chase Bank, along with several other major mortgage lenders, is transitioning to ordering all conventional appraisals under the new UAD 3.6 standard starting October 1, 2026."
