I Was Told Ncv Worked On Windows8.1 It Does Not Massive Problems

Ok...it was a thought...I use wintotal aurora edition.....which works well....I don't know about the "total 13" and the other programs that they have. I get the feeling the operating system will limit you on your choices...

I made the switch to Total last November, it went better than expected. The major downfall is rebuilding a comp database from scratch, given the UAD consistency climate, one can see what a major factor this now becomes. I also bought a new computer around that same time, Windows 8.1 is the worst. Windows 7 is very user friendly while Windows 8.1 is a real piece of sh*t. It seems more concerned to locking you in to things they want you to use than what the user wants. Still trying to find a way to change the email default program.

Not liking 8.1 either. No problems with NCV yet (knock on wood), but still trying to figure out what happened to 500+gb of my hardrive after I updated.

Ditto. How true. I'm still trying to figure out how to opt out of the "cloud" that wants to update and upload everything one does.

And no, I can't back track to Win-7, the fancy new laptop/tablet that I bought per the manufacturer can not run Win-7 as it does not have drivers to support the new hardware (Asus 2-in-1 Convertible laptop/tablet). Love the new machine - friggin can not stand Win-8.1, figure I'll step up to Win-10 Beta shortly.

You should still be able to go back to Win-7. Take it to a local computer shop, and they'll probably charge about $50-$100 to install Win-7. I would hesitate to update to Win-10 just yet. I would make sure whatever appraisal software you choose is compatible with it first.

I went back to Bradford Clickforms. And no, you can not put Win7 on my laptop, it is too new and has hardware that is not supported in Win7 (and that's per the manufacturer, the store I bought it at and my computer guy). And yes, obviously I would make sure that Clickforms is compatible, which they say it is, before I upgrade to Win-10.

What hardware specifically does not work?

What hardware specifically does not work?
This has been months ago, I don't remember the exact list. This is for a state-of-the-art upper end laptop that folds over and becomes a tablet, has touch-screen, gobs of ram, TB hard drive, camera, super long battery life, etc. The various components of the hardware are too new and were made after Win-7 and are totally not supported by Win-7.

OK. I was just curious. I can see where the touch screen might have been an issue. I was just surprised you couldn't get drivers from the various manufacturers for everything. Sounds like you've got things working though.

If you don't mind me hijacking your thread. How are you liking Clickforms? I swtiched to Total but I am not completely satisfied. I may check out Clickforms again.
