Tim, that is very, very true - however - posting under your real name also makes you an easier target for online - and real world - harrassment if you should happen to cross paths with a true Sociopath. Staying anonymous gives you a little extra protection in that regard.
Nobody cares what I say on the internet! This forum is proof.

I am more concerned about some appraiser with the same name in San Antonio and he is on the VA panel. I know this because getting calls wanting to know when he is going to finish his reports. Something I have never had happen for sure. I hope he is legit. I should have patented my name in this state so there could be no dopple gangers.

Very true, in fact some of us remember what happened in here several years ago when the CEO of certain AMC filed a huge lawsuit against a member, it got very ugly. There have been other similar incidents. Let's face it, individual appraisers can be stalked by the powers that be in the lending arena, in fact we'll probably see more of it with wokeness being weaponized within the industry.

Why do I miss all the crazy stuff on this forum?

Personally, I use my nom de plume so my ex wives can't find me.

I guess my upbringing taught me to embrace my enemy's closer than my friends. I am so extremely thick skinned and almost nothing offends me. Frankly in all the years I have only had one or two who irritate me but I got over it. One now is actually a good friend as I realized her irritating me daily made me brush up on my facts. Sometimes she is right and I am wrong. But having been in Real Estate almost my entire adult life you wont survive unless your thick skinned. I have one AF poster who puts me on block, but a week later he unblocks me, he just can't stand to not argue or disagree with me. I am his free therapist :)
