Incorrect roster data

Hi Mike, I also had my address incorrectly input into the system. I called and they told me I must fax the request, which I did but with no avail. I have had several mistakes by the employees of this department. Good luck !! Regards, Kerry

My address, etc. on the FHA roster is incorrect. I went on their web site and found a number to call, but the recording said the mailbox was full.

Does anyone know the best way to get the data corrected?

Thanks

I just called the local FHA/HUD office. They took care of it for me within 3 days.

I faxed in my new license last week, but the roaster still has not updated.
Tomorrow the info online expires. Is anyone else having this problem?

Update Your Information via the FHA Connection

In addition to technical know-how, as an FHA Roster Appraiser, you have certain administrative responsibilities including keeping your personal and business information up to date via the FHA Connection.
To apply for an FHAC User ID:
  • Go to the FHA Connection at: https://entp.HUD.gov/clas/index.cfm
  • Click on "Registering a New User"
  • Click on the "Appraiser Registration" link
  • Fill out the Appraiser Registration page and click "send"
To update contact information once you have an FHAC User ID:
  • Go to the FHA Connection at: https://entp.HUD.gov/clas/index.cfm
  • Click on "Signon"
  • Enter your FHAC User ID and password
  • Select “Appraiser Roster” from the ID Maintenance screen
  • Change contact information as needed and click “Send”
Roster Appraiser Renewal and License Update Procedures

Appraisers with expired licenses risk being removed from the Roster and must follow the steps below to assure continuous retention on the Roster:
  • Upon receipt of state license or certification renewal, appraisers should verify that the FHA Appraiser Roster reflects the updated license or certification information.
  • If the certification/license renewal number or expiration date are
updated on the Roster, it is not necessary for the appraiser to submit a photocopy of the valid State appraiser's license or certification renewal information to HUD.
  • If the most recent certification/license renewal number or expiration date differs from that on the Roster, the appraiser must submit a photocopy of the current license or certification, with credentials based on the minimum criteria issued by the AQB, to HUD via facsimile at 202-401-0416, or regular mail to:
U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development
Office of Single Family Housing
451 7th Street, S.W., Room 9270
Attn: Appraisal Branch
Washington, DC 20410
Due to a recent audit by HUD's Office of the Inspector General (OIG), FHA must ensure that the license or certification number listed on the FHA Appraiser Roster matches exactly with the number posted on the National Registry of the Appraisal Subcommittee (ASC). Appraisers may visit ASC's web page at http://www.ASC.gov/ to compare their state issued license or certification number with that posted on the National Registry. Although FHA has not yet implemented this policy of exactly matching the appraiser's state issued license or certification number, as renewals come in our processors have begun to match the numbers exactly with that posted on the National Registry to assure timely renewals in the future.

All of a sudden I'm not showing up on the FHA roster. I'm in good standing on the ASC website but my clients can't get an FHA number for me. I'm not in trouble or under investigation that I know of. Who should I contact to find out what the deal is? I've called all the numbers on the HUD website, but that could take a while to hear back. Any other ideas out there as to what I should do?

I have a renewal in hand that takes effect on 08/01/08 (received it 2 months ago....was in the mood to take care of it early for once).

National registry still does not show expiration date reflective of renewal.

FHA is threatenting to take me off roster due to ASC website not matching my renewal. I even forwarded a copy of the new/renewed license. FHA apparently will not let a physical copy override what is shown on the National Registry. OREA website also shows date on renewed license as expiration date (08/01/2010).

Contacted ASC. They apparently do not update until the day that the renewal takes effect. Causing a close call with FHA roster status, I would assume. Anyone struggling w/ this?

Anyone else with this problem?

There is a 30 day grace period to get the information updated. It was a most annoying situation to have to wait in spite of renewing long ago. When you update the information on the HUD web site, you must also submit a PDF of the license. (PDF is the only supported format.)

Wife and I applied to be on the FHA roster May 2nd. We have not heard back from them yet. It has been over 2 months, is this typical?

8-10 weeks

It took 8-10 weeks to get placed on the roster, that was the paper trail.
Now I understand it takes 6-8 weeks by uploading the application to FHA.
I would wait 2 more weeks and check the roster daily, then panick.
Good Luck

I moved from Cleveland, Ohio to Tampa, Florida and used the above listed process through the FHA connection to update my information, and the updates were made the next day. I simply scanned my new license and posted it via the website, and then changed my office address info. The FHA connection route is the way to go when updating information, as you can avoid the faxing and post documents via the web.
