"Inflation is coming down"

Some food prices have been stable and even gone done like oranges.
Milk prices kind of high. Is government still subsidizing American farmer?. No need to.

I quit adding half and half to my coffee and stopped drinking milk entirely, should be good for about 10 lbs of weight reduction over the course of a year. Not to mention saving a buck. Cutting the cord of the Directv satellite package is the next bold move.

Milk has protein and is good for you. I drink 2% fat milk.
I signed up for free unlimited coffee for year with Panera. Cost only $59 on sale so I'm not worry about coffee price increases.
Just hope gas prices won't keep going up since I still have to drive to Panera to get my freebie.

Another homemade farm economist who thinks slapping tons of regulations upon dairymen will result in cheaper milk. Who is getting that money? The dairyman? The milk company? The grocery store? The dairy gets $2 for the milk you pay $5 for.

It is good for you if you are under 10 years old but is inflammatory at your age, adds belly fat and causes high blood pressure.

The market is happy with this morning's weak jobs report, bonds yields are falling out of bed and the Nasdaq is up nearly 2%. I guess hope springs eternal for a couple of rate cuts this summer.

The 'weak' report on jobs isn't weak enough, but with 11 million illegals hunting work, its never going to a real job loss for some time. The news is that many illegals are now buying homes, often 2 or 3 related families living in one house. The stock market measures nothing about the situation the average American is experiencing. And layoffs continue. So who is hiring?

Governments lead the way.
Manufacturing as more companies flee China and return to N. America to build things.
Healthcare - reflects the aging baby - boomers.
Education - often the non-public schools and vocational training centers.

PS - want a good job? I had a smart key made ($225) for my car and the locksmith was making extra keys for CarMart. He had 17 such keys to make there at CareMart's repair shop where I met him. And he took 2 more jobs over his phone from his portable van-based key making facility while making and programming mine. Told me that he re-keyed bank REOs 15 years ago six days a week.

Dairymen get about $20 for a cwt. of milk. That's roughly 8 gallons by weight. So that gallon of milk is $2.50 to the dairy farm and the other $2 or so is for the processor, distributor and retail. The dairy cow costs $2,000 or so, and milks for about 300 days in a year and averages maybe 6-8 years and makes from six to eight gallons of milk per day - less if fed on grass only.

So, with feed costs and land costs etc. the dairyman's life is not all sugar and spice... it's a pretty thin margin. You also have all sorts of health department regulations to abide by. Cleaning is a constant problem. And not all farmers are subsidized. Dairy's have some of the most convoluted rules to deal with.
