I feel for the dairy guys, it seems like a slow road to extinction. There are still subsidies for farmers. Crop insurance is subsidized. There were covid payments for a couple years. There were payments for Trump's trade war with China. There is a subsidy program for row crops (also includes wheat I think, ARC or PLC) but that hasn't payed out for a number of years.

I didn't think there were any of those.
I'm still waiting for Russia to lose to Ukraine and China to collapse.

No, you just had a problem with "my observation". If you want to get into "Peter's observations", then you haven't been listening to him very closely. China's government and/or economic system WILL BE profoundly different 10 years from now than it is at the present. And Russia will be defeated in Ukraine, as long as we can keep the orange traitor from a second term.

Now there's a good observation. Unfortunately, he reminds me a little bit of that commentator (Thomas Friedman) during the Iraq war who was cheering for Marines kicking in doors in Baghdad, and then six months later bemoaning what a mistake that was. And all those advisors during the Vietnam War who told LBJ to go in and kick azz, and then a couple of years later disavowed that advice. People who aren't always right, but are never in doubt, are dangerous. And, I'm afraid Peter could fall into that category as well.
