Insight into Reverse Mtg. deals, please

I'm astounded with how fast the dregs of the MB world have jumped into both FHA and Reverse Mortgages.

FWIW, they were also attempting to jump into the commercial side for a brief period. However, those calls stopped nearly a year ago.

David .. I experienced the same thing .. interestingly the commercial appraisers ask too many questions the MBs cant answer and wont tolerate their bs ... they (the MBs) found quickly it was a sand box they didnt know how to play in so they took their lunch money and left.
I guess, in Adepts words, we commercial guys dont shuck and jive .... :rof:

What shall I tell them, repeat a nasty conversation I had with this idiot that he can deny? You do not know until you make the call.

I cannot do anything about that accept share it here with you all and get it out of my system. Really is that all you can do? Well if so, then just let it all out, we will take care of you, that big bad mortgage person will never hurt you again, it all better now.

I am guessing it really does not kill you.

I had some MB call me about a commercial appraisal a year or so ago (car dealership) and before I referred him to anyone he told me he needed it back within a week. I laughed at him and hung up.

Perhaps in the future my responses to your rhetorical questions will be: I do/say such things to intentionally annoy and/or confuse you in hopes of you then being inclined to ask questions for which you do not even care what the answer is so that I may know what irks you. How about that...?

It's not true, of course, but you'd think it must be the way you carry on in so many threads.

Time to buy a telephone recording machine, and don't forget to announce that the call is being recorded (for quality and training purposes of course).
NOW let them make whatever demand they want.
 
Dave, why not just record the guy on the phone. If you are insistent on doing the appraisal then tell him they can proceed or you can take the necessary steps in reporting them. I am pretty sure it is FHA however. A lot of this depends on if they got a case number or not.
 
I've actually considered that, but understand that there are some legal ramifications to that.

But maybe we should first ask Higgins, apparently he must know some FBI types that will send people to jail on my word alone, so perhaps I wouldn't even need that!

Dave .... my point in asking the question was quite simple ... to get you to think. Why would any one have to "shuck" and "jive" to get business? I have no personal affronts with you ... I ask so that you might think. If you havent noticed here so many of us wont play the game. Apparently trying to get you to come over to our side is a dubious task ... I still believe worth the effort.
In prior posts you have made comments about "getting them in" and then selling them the product (bait and switch in my mind).
As you are quite Adept at saying, you run a successful appraisal business, the question is are the games with the clients necessary in order for your success to remain? Thats all .... no one is attacking you.
It just seems if you have to "bait and switch" or "shuck" and "jive" perhaps the client base is not the best for you. Thats your call .... just making an observation.
 
Your points are understood, and have been for, well, since the day I arrived. MY point is that you don't even see that I understand your point. You lack any amount of sympathy, let alone empathy, for the reality that is the here and now. You are cold, and quite frankly, mean.

Secondly, that you even had to ask such a stupid question equally tells me that you don't yet understand MY point(s).

I am not a stupid man, I would respectfully request you cease treating me like one, regardless of your emotional predispositions.
