Matt Johnson/Appraiser Depot has stolen $458.99 from me. I ordered a Disto A5 and a CD for him July 21. He immediately deposited the money and refuses to send my Disto or to communicate with me. I,ll let you know how it is handled through civil or criminal court.

There website is up. Id contact the postal service. If they are suppose to send you the disto by postal service, you could have a case of mail fraud on your hands. In any event Id make sure I had my attorney contact them PRONTO.

Matt has responded to an email and promises an upgraded Disto by Friday. I'll let you know Friday. I have an Oklahoma attorney.

Tim - Just curious. Why the huge disparity in cost - Disto v. Fat Max. Six Fat Max in your pocket versus 1 Disto? Doesn't compute.

Tim, what do you, personally, use it for?

I use it for interior measurements, corners, covered porches, garages, etc. When a house is a basic rectangle I usually just pull a tape. When the house is very cut up or there is too much shrubbery to pull a tape the Disto makes life easy. I even use the triangulation function to measure second or third floor walls every now and then.

There are houses that I'm sure you could measure from your car using the disto.

It's also really good for keeping the homeowners cats occupied.
