Is Microsoft Stock Being Hurt by the Failure of Windows 11 to be Adopted?

You would already have most of this subscription services for your old computer.
True.... but that subscription is going to end LOL

I have Microsoft Office 2014 which is the last iteration where you install the program on your computer. I paid for it, that is it, no subscriptions or using it from "the cloud". When my version of Microsoft Office ceases to work, or if I need the use of this program going into retirement, I will turn to Libre office or some other free alternative.

In regards to new computers though, when manufacturers like Dell, HP, or Lenovo produces a new computer, they must pay Microsoft a fee to pre-install Windows on the device. This licensing fee is where Microsoft gets their bread buttered.

Big OEM providers have deals with MS to use their operating system, so they don't get charged as much and/or sometimes even get paid to pre-install windows. I know a guy at a startup similar to Framework (but more server/workstation oriented) and they were offered money to ship their pcs with windows.
If that is indeed happening, it kind of makes sense given how poorly Windows 10 and windows 11 have been received by the market. I guess you could let some manufacturers slide when you're worth is billions of dollars.

Not sure if it's Window 11 or new faster computer but I'm able to post much much faster and less freeze screens.

I'm still using Windows 10. So how long do I have until the plug gets pulled?
There is something that you all can do about this "without" buying a new pc.

I did this very recommendation to my HP All-in-One 27-inch monitor i7, 16 GB ram, desktop PC. The windows 11 upgrade web page informed me that I was "not" eligible to upgrade due to being a 7th gen Intel processor. It's such a nice machine and it works so well that I could not see dumping it in a landfill. That said, paying for continued Windows 10 security updates to a billion dollar corporation wasn't floating my boat either.

Go to the website Fiverr... it's a global online marketplace for freelancers. Here you will find computer techs that will install and upgrade your non-upgradable Windows 10 machine to Windows 11. Cost is under $40 bucks.... you can pay with PayPal.

Here's the catch, and some of you may not like this..... you must let the tech into your computer via TeamViewer which lets the tech have complete control. Here's another problem you may have, my tech was from Pakistan LOL. He was a certified Microsoft tech and had great reviews so, it didn't bother me... he did a great job and my un upgradable machine is now running Windows 11 receiving all updates. I sat in front of my computer during the whole process and communicated and asked questions via TeamViewer..... it was awesome.
