the spiky big palm leaves fall onto the ground
Each year worldwide there are ~ 10 deaths attributable to shark attacks compared with ~ 150 deaths worldwide caused by falling coconuts. In short, plant palms, just don't plant coconut palms.

It's been raining nonstop since early last night. I can see four fallen palm leaves in my yard. And one flew over and landed on my neighbor's roof.

Those darn city street tree leaves clogged another of my properties. Ceiling leaking. Ugh.

Greenies hate the planet and most of its occupants:

"Displacement of indigenous peoples, deforestation and loss of biodiversity are all consequences of our palm oil consumption."

"palm oil-based biofuels actually have three times the climate impact of traditional fossil fuels."

Unpossible. The computer models say California is in a permanent drought.
The rain finally stopped. Areas that were FEMA flood zones are having properties flooded. It's a mess here. They're not 100 year flood zone but more like 40 year flood zone.
Sewers get clogged and streets and parking lots flood. I checked on my vacant unit and the drain was clogged and water was rising high to my building. Had to manually unplugged it today.
I was all rain wet and my shoes and socks got soak.:cryingsmiley:
Should have worn my rain boots. I got rid of the grass lawn and the whole patio yard accumulated with water.

You ain't no tree expert. Some buyers don't like trees. How about cost in tearing them down.
Older trees can be problematic to a site and Utility Easements. Drought causes major tree roots to move towards the surface,. In my area don't make an assumption that under ground Power line run with the lot lines or paralleled with streets. Its so bad that when Duke Energy says have your site Flagged before you dig, they really mean it. I appraised a Guys home and he worked for Duke Energy from home. His job was to map how underground lines are to be routed. The guy showed me how they do it.. basically they take the shortest route from point a to Point B. Something like that.

I routed sewer and water lines for a 25,000 acre development. The construction department then took the maps, ignored them and put the waterline on the side of the road that was fill rather than undisturbed so they could install it faster. Of course, the fill side would settle and break the lines. Our sewer lines then were clay and a lot of waterlines were asbestos-cement - very brittle.

Yes I understand. The machine they use to install underground cable using a boring is quite remarkable, I watch the operator put in underground electrical cable in my neighborhood a couple of years ago.
