Landscaping & trees Replacement cost estimator

Client has large house with expansive yard and landscaping. Wants estimate of cost to replace landscaping & trees, if fire or EQ. Anyone have tip on estimating software i can use to build? Craftsman has it for house, but not for landscaping....

The only accurate way would be to hire a landscaper and get an estimate of the cost to replace. I WOULD NOT attempt to provide an estimate in my appraisal.

My nephew was cleaning his gutters and a snake popped up out of the trash, and he toppled off his ladder and ended up in the hospital with a concession and a nasty gash in his head.... he rented a lift the next time...

I have (had) to clean my gutters 2-3 times/ year. About 10 yrs ago I slipped on the roof (6/12 pitch) and quit sliding just before I hit the gutters, 18' drop after the gutters.

Next day I called a gutter guy and had him install leaf guards. $1,500, much cheaper than a trip to the ER or a funeral.

He used this type, they work great.

Yes I understand. The machine they use to install underground cable using a boring is quite remarkable, I watch the operator put in underground electrical cable in my neighborhood a couple of years ago.

They used a directional boring machine to run a 36" sewer line for about a mile near my office. The operator said he can place it within just a couple of inches of the target. They're amazing.

If one insists upon gutters... I'd as soon just pour a thin concrete slab around the perimeter of the house to let the water fall naturally. Alternatively, you can place a gravel "bed" around the perimeter. My ground is so rocky and hard, the water does not erode my lawn. Also plant a thorny rose bush under each low window
to discourage thieves.

They drilled a similar sized hole under a nearby creek to avoid environmental damage. They were like a small oil drilling rig. They drilled with mud and there was a mixing station with gel and a shale shaker to extract the rock chips and recycle the mud. Looked to be about 36" or maybe a mite bigger for a regional water line called the "Two Ton" - cooperative effort of WashingTON and BenTON counties. I wanted the rock chips for my driveway but they were spoken for to use elsewhere as bedding for the line.

First time I decided to take a look at my gutters at my rental. Not much leaf in the gutters but I see dirt.
Then I looked at the comp shingles and I see algae or green matter growing on the edges starting to pop out. I didn't know algae grew on comp shingles.

yep yep yep...a copper sheet on the ridge under the shingles will stop a lot of it. Copper is toxic to algae.

From street I don't see my beautiful gray comp shingle roof. Close up, I was surprise. Will summer heat kill it? Or is it like Covid - just can't get rid of it.

I'd spray a biocide on it. Try BioKleen or BioGuard. When the roof blew off my house we used BioGuard if I recall correctly. Sprays the wet insulation to prevent mold and algae from forming.

I have successfully used a professional Arborist to estimate contributory value of trees in litigation appraisal.
There is a significant cost, however results that are credible is necessary.

Yes but every once it a while it's worth it. My mother was very fond of roses but dad...not so much when he mowed too close and had an arm in the way...
