I admit, when curch is in the road name I just put lake ch. Rd instead of lake church rd.

I am surprised that my maps haven't got written up yet. ALAMODE maps says church, has a cross and other words that fannie could spank me for using. I guess their software cannot scan the map for potty words.

I guess if the do or if the get manually reviewed, I guess I could snag it, blurr it out and then paste it in the report?

......taking meds for depression now.

Not to Bright Appraisers looking for easy answers in what to do or not to do.
Common sense appraisers have no problems.

Is Baptist a code word?
I don't know. It could be Baptist, Lutheran, Catholic, Jehovah Witness, Mormon and it would be same Christian word to me.
Some would find it negative to be next to a religious school.
Best to keep any religious connotation from report.

By the time the appraiser is called in the buyers or in the case of a refi, the homeowner already know what is in the neighborhood. The only ones that may have a negative reaction to such words would be the AMC, the lender or FNMA.

These people have lost their minds. I got a letter from FNMA bc the neighborhood section in my report, on an appraisal of a house in a small town that happens to have a university, is named Southwest Baptist University.

FNMA says I can't say the word Baptist. Cited two reports in the area with the same verbiage (its canned) and that they would be monitoring my reports. Its reverse discrimination...the university's name itself is now a no no....

WHAT!?!?!?!?!? Anyone else get one of these?
It was actually from them and not the lender/client? Can you respond to them that that is the name of the college? Or are just supposed to say there is a college xx distance from the subject? Hopefully for all of us, it was just a computer checker and not a human reading the report.
