McKissock dumps PAREA

They kept congratulating him on his retirement, lol. Guess he'll go back to being a lobbyist.
He will land in a familiar place after dragging a bag of money out of TAF.

And as expected more grants will flow to PAREA. I'm hearing and reading the pass rate is abysmal for PAREA students, but the PAREA cheerleaders are blaming poor QE courses, not their offering.

I think it was James Wylie that said there was a $4.4 million publications revenue and expenses of only $482,000, and said there was a copyright on the "free" standards 1-4 that public could print and Supreme Court says no one can own the law. Ruh roh.

Will be interesting to read Jonathan Miller's reaction in this week's newsletter to David Bunton calling Miller a liar.
Defamation of character lawsuit?

Dunno. But a serious allegation was made in a FB group, I don't need to be involved in that drama so I edited the post. But if it's true Bunton shouldn't throw stones, especially at Miller.

They said it would be on YouTube later, OCC appraiser bias hearing. I missed the first hour of it but had to register for the Zoom meeting. Rohit Chopra brought up Michelle Bradley and her husband's company profiting from PAREA as a potential conflict of interest. He pointed out their "conduct" in excluding government staff from the meetings and said they have a history of "sidestepping" regulations and oversight. Bunton was "not sure". Chopra pointed out that Bunton kept saying "we" when speaking of TAF, but kept demurring that he was not a voting member but "could express his opinion" on his potential replacement to TAF. Wonder who he'll choose as his successor?
