Is is just me and my computer or is the new MLS slowwwwwwwwwwwww...........................................
and the map function is poor
and they changed it why????????????????????

to make it sooooo much better for us! dont you know?

It's now 9:13 p.m.

Am I the only one still having issues with the improved MFRMLS?

Signing in works okay. But the system is still hanging up intermittently and at different times. Printing is dicey. The program just hangs and I get to start all over.

Only two days of interrupted service so far.

Maybe next time they could spend my dues to debug a little bit.

And perhaps implementing a new application over a weekend might not be a bad idea.

They changed it because the old mapping would not work in anything but obsolete versions of Internet Explorer. They had to change it to make it work on current technology. There are some aspects about the new mapping I don't like, but the polygon tool more than makes up for those short comings IMHO.

I too think the polygon tool is extremely helpful. (That is probably the feature I miss most from Microbase) The mapping would be an easier transition if they were able to enlarge the actual map itself...it even prints in the same size frame? Maybe that will get improved soon?

I'm all for the polygraph tool. I think it's more truthful.

On the maps

you can resize them-you just have to grab a corner and drag it. Unfortunately, it doens't appear to change the resolution-but at least its easier to read.

No-ain't gonna change-we're just appraisers. I called yesterday and let them have it...but they're not the developers, and they don't fix it very quickly....lol

Yes, it is slow, and you will have glitches where your matches will drop to zero.

If you have a side toolbar or start menu that is "always on top" you have to side scroll the criteria screen-yuck

So far I haven't seen any "enhancements" at all, only fall backs. Oh well, there's always version 4...

I got call this afternoon from Jack Vahey of the MFR-MLS. He consulted the ORRA attorney who advised the reporting of sales concessions was not a great idea.

1. How would they enforce it?

2. He felt it opened more doors of liability for the MLS.

Anyone have a response or a better suggestion?

Joyce,

I guess you would have to have our ORRA attorney call the attorney of other MLS boards that currently have it and see how they did it.

Enforcement, how do they enforce all the errors currently which I see everyday. Do they even enforce the errors unless it is turned in by a member?

Liability, who is liable when the wrong sales price is entered into the MLS now?

If they do not want to do it, then they won't do it, it appears.

Why then would other MLS boards have it since they must feel it was necessary and a part of the overall transaction.

Hmmmm....:glare:

I wonder how quickly we may get things moving if this reply from the MLS board had a story in the media about..."Unreported concessions skew real estate valuations in Central Florida!"? Everyone knows that the media LOVES anything to do with the current real estate debacle!

Just thinking out loud...

And the winner is Robert Elfand!!!
