National Appraiser Boycott

What do you care what appraisers do? You're not appraising.

The story might just gain traction because of corporate greed. All this talk of socialism and communism.... people are fed up. Hyper capitalism is not working for them.... it's only working for the people Trump gave tax breaks to.

Yup.... going to my wife's dream destination (at least she thinks so). We haven't been on a vacation "in years".
There's no hyper Capitalism involved in appraisers fee's or their business model and if anything it's more Socialistic with the fee's being handed out by the handlers being the AMCs and money center banks.

A gig economy is neither a real Capitalistic or Socialistic one it's slave labor but not having to feed or house the off site field workers.

I like this idea as a press release to media outlets with an alternate letter then the one I posted informing the public to make them aware. The industry may get public sympathy due to corporate unfairness/greed as they can relate.

Would news Outlets find it a tintillating enough story and pick it up? If you can get one.....it'd be easier for other outlets in different states to pickup the story as well.

Petitions in my opinion, will do absolutely nothing.
I will follow up with you tommorow on it.

What Media ? What's titillating about appraisers going broke or not being happy. You call your local media and see if there interested and let us know. O' I forgot your leaving on expensive vacation for a few weeks appraisal fee's must not be too bad or the wife has a real job and she's paying. Lol )
Exactly. Nobody saved shoe repair shops, 8 track player companies, companies that could not survive AMAZON, door to door vacuum cleaner salesmen, American Motors and on and on

I wish the toxic message cranks who are posting the same negative messages we have seen from them a thousand times would leave this thread alone.

It is interesting that right now, there are a number of internet discussions on Reddit and Quora ( open forums, not appraiser-focused) on AMC fees, and there are several lawsuits working their way through the courts about it.

Yeah I'm kinda surprised how so many can believe their targeted or that it's a grand conspiracy to get rid of appraisers. Most other fields had this happen well over 20 years ago and appraisers actually dodged the bullet's longer than most.

We're in a similar point in history when the use of Machine Tools and the Industrial Revolution decimated the artisans and agrarian society. Millions lost their shops and trades.

The new technology including AI is rapidly destroying the traditional jobs like cubicle workers and middle level managers are gone.

Covid-19 lock downs accelerated the speed of consumers buying online and killed commercial real estate and office space. Some say what took 3 years would under normal circumstance have taken 10 to 12 years.

You won't even use your real name on the forum. You are in no place to talk down to anyone.
You are so funny. You only seem to show up when someone is trying to get something done or to improve the profession. You are one heck of a motivator.

Weird. Negative.

Pam is a good example of why one should not use there real name on the forum. Yes, there are more lurkers than posters....all of these lenders, gses, AMCs play together....whistleblower?

Crazy people and people with mental illness that seeks revenge is real. Use your real name..so that they can do a quick internet search and find out where you live, work, your kids, facebook page, etc. Let's not forget that employers do searches....

Only a idiot that is not retired or nearing retirement would use there real name that depended on AMCs or lenders for work. Unless you are a arse kisser or a boot licker or a company shill or run a skippy mill.

Lastly I do love seeing all of the love and giddiness on humans losing their jobs. Can't wait until the billionaires gets rid of us, coders, truck drivers, brokers, re agents, customer service reps, etc.

Yeah!!!!!! Cheerleaders for the destruction of human kind. Go AI!

Residential appraisers are Sarge, Flo, Luigi, Mater, etc from Cars. And the interstate has been built. If you want to keep your businesses, spruce up the town and find a Lightning McQueen to take up your cause.

Seriously--y'all need to get one well known and well-respected person or company to take up your cause.

I play a fringe sport that struggles with major sponsorship too, and as such, even though the sport is growing in popularity, prize money is not keeping pace, because the only sponsors so far....wait for it....are those that directly benefit when the sport is played. What does that sound like?

Dude... the wealth inequality in the US are at levels not seen in over a century. It's not just appraisers. It's not just spongers looking for permanent food stamps to sell and buy booze with....it's hard working people working 2 jobs just to get by. Go pick your favorite AI engine and ask if we are in hyper capitalism.... I shouldn't have to spoon feed it to you. Or, you're of the Trump mindset and think that it's fake news.

Appraisers didn't create this business model and state "yes Mr lender, we'll pay the AMC service fee from ours". That's the lender's responsibility. Appraisers are not required by federal law to pay the service fees of AMCs. The legal framework places the financial responsibility on the lender.
Appraising is socialistic? There’s no public ownership or redistribution mechanism. The lender, AMC, appraiser setup is purely profit driven.

Lenders are legally required to obtain appraisals for federally related transactions under Title XI of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 (FIRREA). Once they change that law.....they can waiver away all loans they want. That, or have Uber drivers inspect real estate. But until then, the legal burden is on the lender to ensure the appraiser's fees meets customary fee standards.

Im a capitalist...but the major flaw with capitalism is greed and lack of human epithy.

Do we wonder why our youth are turning to socialism? Wealth inequality. It's real. We need to come together before it's to late.

Im not going to be brainwashed by the billionaires. They sold us out to China and now to AI and tech.

Fine..... but Lenders are legally required to obtain appraisals for federally related transactions under Title XI of the Financial Institutions Reform, Recovery, and Enforcement Act of 1989 (FIRREA).

Until that changes.....appraisals are still required....we're not done yet.

It's not much to ask the lender's billion dollar corporations to pay the service fee of their agent AMCs so appraisers get their full fee until that day comes.
