How many years of experience did you have when you struck out on your own?

15 for me, slow learner. Plus it was hard to do before computers to go out on your own.

The implication is that the majority of those appraisers are too junior to be competent at these assignments, even when working in a staff environment and being subject to regular review by their supervisors.

If a fresh CR hired into the Borg in mid-2024 then by mid-2026 they'd have already accrued 3 years of experience. Would anyone here guess that even 50% of the Borg's staff appraisers have only 2-3 years experience?

I'm curious what percentage of appraisers you think are too inexperienced to be performing these assignments? How many years to reach mid-level competency at appraising SFRs?

I have no idea. Depends on what your career is before you get into this. What’s your degree in, if you even have 1. But No substitute for experience.

2-3 years as a trainee under direct supervision of a certified appraiser is a good standard.

That’s fair. Is it too much to ask for them to not bend over backwards for Revaa too?

Their mission statement used to have public trust in it. I can’t imagine it still does.
