Is it just me or does this new version of the form suck? Terrible layout IMO. Why do people feel the need to change things for the worse?

Gee ... maybe you should change that Les Paul pic to a 5 inch violin ... :ROFLMAO: ... try being on the VA panel for YEARS, then moving to another region and being told by the new region that your prior VA time doesn't count and you have to go to "the back of the line" and wait another two decades to get back on the panel ... and you are a disabled Vet yourself ... now THAT sucks ...

Seriously, they did not put you on the panel here???? San Antonio still has 2-3 military bases there.

.... and at least 100,000 retired/former military living here, plus the active duty. However, they have a strict "first come, first served" policy in Houston ... that's what the head panel guy told me. Each region does it differently, BTW. If there was a dire need in my area, they probably would have had a different policy. But I would guess that they already have a bazillion VA panel appraisers who cover my area, and lots of folks who have been waiting years to get on .... *but* - being a disabled Vet myself, to not even get consideration based on that status ... well, let's just say its the principle of the thing that galls me.

My wife tells me to forget about it, we have so many clients that it has not affected our bottom line, but I am a little sore over it, yes. ;)

I had a difficult time figuring out who was the lender on one this week. No address or nothing in the port.
I just had one. Evidently lenders have not got used to the form yet. No contact info for veteran on refinance. I went into assignment details I think and the veteran's phone number was there. It was not on 1805.

Sometimes I get some person's name as client on 1805's. Have for years. I have to go into assignment details or some link under the assignment to even find out who the lender is. I am not putting a person as the client on the appraisal.

I have had to contact VA before just to find out who the lender is?

A nice little move is send POC a request for corrected 1805 and put note in the portal. :)

Section 6, 6B is interesting. Are we supposed to be including the spouse as the other borrower in the reports now?

Glad to see field 34 "Refinancing Amount of Proposed Loan" has finally been done away with. Nothing good was ever going to come from that.
however in some cases you can still find it if you go to correspondence history or something, just not on the 1805.

I've been printing the assignment details to pdf for my workfile for that very reason.

I have been on the panel 11 years, while i download the 1805 for my file, i never read it. I get all the info from the assignment details page
