Forum not a good place for legal advice or to find an attorney-I suggest find your own and it will be very expensive so be prepared to write a big check.

Your E&O most likely has an Attorney who is well versed on real Property Appraisals. So if this legal Advice your seeking and is related to your Appraisal Practice aka an assignment? It's very important to contact them asap. What ever problem it is keep your mouth shut let that person do all the talking.

Be advised read your E& O Policy carefully- If you have been contacted or served that you are being sued and you do not report it to your E & O legal department for advice and to establish time and date you may void your policy.

Example you hire your own attorney and lose a case your not going back to your E & O so please proceed carefully as a Private attorney at least in my area is extremely expensive. WHAT YOU may want to do is pay like a $500 Fee to consult only with an attorney and see of you even have a reasonable defense.

Hello, thank you for all yIf he cany pay 41,000 a year for E & O I would send him to our advice. It is not for me, for an appraiser that does not have insurance, and for a private report.

If he cant pay $1,000 a year for E & O how is he going to write a big check to a NY Attorney ?
