I don't think the friend has E&O. Still, call a E&O company. They can help you find the friend a lawyer.Talk to your E&O. They will recommend or select the attorney.
Me too. Call a couple E&O insurance providers. They have lawyers on staff or call. A local bank lawyer on staff could probably help the friend. They would all be good sources for a job or free referral.I hope your friend problem is not a Marin Case Redux
"Hello, thank you for all your advice. It is not for me, for an appraiser that does not have insurance, and for a private report."Then get the best Administrative lawyer around.... And who hires you without E & O?
I have never known a complaint filed by a private client except divorce. I know it happens, but the typical complaint according to the (now retired) board director was that 1 - mortgage lenders like FNMA, 2-Borrowers who invariably think the value is low, and 3rd on the list was divorce appraisals. The ever coveted private client..
Take your lawyer with you to the board or court. It's the friend's job to find the lawyer.I have never known a complaint filed by a private client except divorce. The most recent case I know of an appraiser losing their license was a divorce situation. Frankly she asked for it. And I believe our current director said they are dealing with some 9 complaints filed by FNMA. And typically they have no more than perhaps 30 complaints a year, half are dismissed out of hand.
