Paid Appraisal search Sites

Far and away the best sites for producing orders are Zip Appraisers and Appraiser USA. Both also offer free listings, but I find I get more orders with the paid spots. Some general directories are good too, but for starters sign up for all the free listings you can get. You need to have a decent web site to get orders from advertising on the web.

One thing you can do is try searching for an appraiser in your area yourself. Who do you find, and how do you find them? Do what they are doing.

I am listed in quite a few. I do see info request come from many of them. Not a lot of orders. However most of the time that is because once they have your fax and phone there is no point for them to place an order through the site they can just order it direct. I am listed in: Appraisers.com, AppraiserSearch(General), AppraiserZoom, AppraiserUniverse, E-Appraiser, a couple of others as well. Rarely are the clients actually going to tell you where they got your name, but most likely it was from one of these sites. Unless you have done work for them before or were referred to them by someone, how else are they going to get your information. The DBPR sites dont have contact info and / or email. You have to be seen somehow. If you figure an average price in these listing sites is anywhere from 50-a few hundred dollars. You get 1 order your listing is paid for and then some. Marketing is the best way to get business. I would not say through your money away, go for the ones that will actively market you as well. Not just keep sending crap out to the appraisers. Yes there are the free sites out there like AppraiserUSA. However, unless you PAY for a top listing, who the heck is going to pick an appraiser past the say top 10. Not to many clients are going to sit there and read through all the appraisers before they pick one that they feel all warm and fuzzy about......

You can pay to advertise on my website (only cost $49.95), and you will get the same amount of orders that these other companies give you.:rof::rof::rof::rof:

So you are guaranteeing at least 3 orders a year? Sign me up.

I dont think any of them will be worth a nickel once the new laws come through. Appraiserusa started out good, but I havent even had a comp check request from them in a long time.

I don't think the new laws affect FHA appraisals though...

Appraiserguideusa.com

The company i work for recently signed up with appraiserguideusa.com and we have been receiving phone calls from the listing we placed with them. I would also recommend appraisers.com

Receiving phone calls? Any orders? or just MBs fishing for values?

Kevin, I would be willing to bet "CarolinaBeach" is (or is related to) Lloyd Winchester of Greenville, NC who owns Appraiserguideusa.com. :rof:

Sometimes a recommendation from someone with less than 100 posts is legitimate, but rarely. :new_all_coholic:

Google

I have signed up with every appraiser listing I can find. Obviously too much time on my hands. In addition to those, I have been signing up with online yellow pages, web directories and the like.
One thing that is key for me is to get my company at the top of the Google business listing. Google's ranking system is based largely on the quantity and importance (page rank) of sites that link to your website. Again, that is why I sign up and make sure my website is listed everywhere I can possibly get it. If you live in Wyoming, please disregard all you have read.
