I've been a one man shop for a long time, I'm game. How about a specific type of report...you know apples to apples. Maybe a 1004 refinance or REO, or a purchase?

I think in response to cliques, one of the things that appraisal organizations don't do. Is be all inclusive. Exclusivity breeds cockiness, arrogance, and a us vs. them mentality. All things I believe the market already offers us. Personally I'd rather see a guy that maybe has a less than perfect reputation, come hat in hand, and say help. I much rather compete with 100 well trained competitors, than 1 fraudelent one. At least I know I can compete with well trained, I cannot match fraud.

um...um....I have never done an REO or a purchase....

How about a refi....I have a couple good ones...you have one that is interesting I sent you.

Mr. Fowl needs to make sure his isn't some cookie cutter that has two adjustments....bring something fun. :nono:

Ok that is three of us...anyone else up for the Pepsi challenge. A challenging refinance assignment.

Now Tim, that report is for Iowa. How on earth are we going to help (judge) you if we do not know what we are looking at.

A challenging refinance assignment... :) Shouldn't be hard to find one of those.
Count me in - I'll be the one with the hat.

Let's try and have it be within the last 12 months, and have a transfer/prior listing in the past 36 months. Let's see how we analyze per USPAP 1-5

Reports for review

Ya know. As soon as I get an assignment of my own, I'd be glad to share.

Some of you know, I just got out of my Limited status about 3 weeks ago, and every MB, Banker and lender I've spoken with said they have nothing for me without my being on the FHA Roster. I just got notice last night that I'm on. Spent the day making more contacts. Hopefully the phone will start ringing next week.

It's a good thing I have my real estate license to fall back on:rof::rof::rof:

Count me in too. Should it be an FHA refi? Since that seems to be the way of the future...

Are we talking about an off-site type of meeting where we each person brings a report with them? I think this is an excellent idea since none of us are probably terribly busy at the moment. Should the report be altered to maintain client confidentiality? I vote for some place very central like Lansing... since I am on the West side of the state.

I think we should all submit our reports digitally first, get a chance to review them and then have face to face. All client info should be redacted, unless you do not mind all of your new friends having all your client information.

I'm booked all next week, and possibly first part of the following week. But let's start throwing out locales. Lansing is ok with me, maybe some of the SE Michigan folk can carpool?

I would be all for this kind of group! I don't know about the rest of you, but my mentor was more intrested in cranking out invoices than producing quaility work. I learned through the school of hard knocks. Once fully licensed I did some fee split work for a CG appraiser who needed coverage in Livingston & Genesee counties she did a review of every report, it was the best education I ever had. Bottom line is we can all learn from each other. I will also throw one in.

I would like to say I was busy... I can work around others
