I glean your reading comprehension skills may need a bit of sharpening. If you'll read the sentence I posted, you'll note that the subject of the sentence 'Dims' is followed by the verb 'had', which is followed by the object 'ministry of disinformation'. The natural rendering of the statement is that those folks who had the ministry of disinformation are 'Dims'. This certainly does not apply to ALL Democrats (else I would have stated 'Democrats'), but rather to the folks who believe that the only truths folks should be exposed to are the 'truths' they approve. Which makes them - in my opinion - Dims.

For the record, I'm neither Democrat or Republican. But keep up the trash talking - it's entertaining to say the least.

I am also neither a R or D, but I refrain from using terms like "Dims" "Libtard" "repbliCON" as they just seem childish to me, you want to throw shade at me for my reading comprehension skills, go ahead, I really couldn't care less.......I obviously don't have proper reading comprehension skills as I have not posted on AF 9,500+ times like you have!!!  :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

Freedom of Speech - you know that pesky little Bill of Rights thingy that states demanded the founders to adopt along with the constitution - The first Amendment does not require anything to be true... And, do you not realize a lot of "fact checking" was just suppressing truth?

Actual factchecks of fact checkers showed a lot of such fact checkers even disagreed with each other. Nearly one-third of them disagreed between themselves to some degree.

When people sign up for Facebook, Twitter (X), Instagram, you have NO freedom of speech, when you agree to be on their platform, the rules you agree to basically say they can ban you, remove your post, whatever they want, you agree to it BEFORE you sign up, Social Media has NO freedom of speech, it NEVER has and the people on it have agreed to it, but no one ever reads over the things they agree to on Social Media, they just agree to it.

Obviously you're welcome to troll me as well. :) I'm humbled you'd take the time.

It's not to difficult to click on someones profile and see ho many times they have posted on AF, it's simply a fact, the data is available to all AF member, if you somehow think that's "trolling" more power to you......You're also the same person who posted something on here and then when I commented on it, you denied every posting it, until I pointed it out to you and you had to admit it, so take that for what it's worth...........

You claim to be neither party affiliatn, which is fine, but your thinking is hard RW /MAGA.

I have never spent time on any of those platforms - once in while I go on FB only because many I know are on it and I get notificoans

People are sheeple idiots, going on those sites, enriching billionaires and influencers, letting their data be used and stolen, and leaving themselves open to manipulation from algorithms.

I imagine in the earlier days it was better and many who signed up then simply stayed,. The fact that so much of the younger gen socializes so much on those platforms and trusts them for information is scary. The correlation of their high reported rate of mental illness and depression speaks for the outcome.

Actually those platforms are regulated by the government

They have no requirements to fact check anything especially when the fact checks so often prove to be wrong.

Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act generally exempts social media platforms from lawsuits related to user-generated content, essentially shielding them from being held legally responsible for information posted by third-party users on their platforms; this means they are not treated as the "publisher or speaker" of that content, allowing them to avoid liability for most user-generated content. The goal was to encourage innovation and free speech on the internet
We will know more next month as a SCOTUS case reaches the high court

On February 26, 2024, the justices of the US Supreme Court heard Moody v. NetChoice and NetChoice v. Paxton, both cases that will determine how and what social media companies can do when running their platforms. The cases will test how powerful social media companies are and establish where the Tech Giants rank in the hierarchy of First Amendment protections in the United States. The question likely to be answered this spring: Do states have the right to restrict how social media companies moderate and run their platforms?

I would definitely agree that my political positions align more with the Republican platform than the Democrat platform - which should come as no surprise as I'm Libertarian. The Democratic platform is pretty much 180 degrees opposite from the Libertarian platform.

Please explain why "MAGA" is such a touchstone of hatred from Democrats? The fact someone voted for Trump does not make them "MAGA"...it means only that in the choice between one and the other, they picked the one that scared them the least.

so take that for what it's worth...........
Apparently that's worth a LOT to some folks. :) Again - I'm humbled you remember. And I'll always admit when I'm wrong, so no surprises there.
