I’m always in favor of calling out enemies of the professional fee appraiser. Even ones who at one time may have been on our side, but now take the side of the corrupt GSE every single time.

Instead of going about it via that passive-aggressive chickfight thing you do, why don't you just be direct with me about your complaints? Let's talk about it.

If you think I'm an enemy of the professional appraiser then make your case. Show us all where you think I have EVER advocated against the legitimate interests of professional appraisers (of which the residential fee appraisers are but a subset).

Put up or shut up.

And from now on you should assume in advance that I am going to challenge your fact-free allegations about my conduct or motives every time you try to sneak one in.

This is the logical fallacy that you have been using. Like a *****.

One more item. In his first and only post here on the AF, he stated to George "if you have issues with me, contact me first". Something to that nature. I wonder if he extended the same courtesy to DW before trashing him on his show.

Okay, I found it. Here's what Mr. Crawford actually said.

"Mr. Hatch.... I would respectfully request that you wait until I release the final report on my "Data Cancer" analysis. It will be out in January.
Please review and then feel free to crucify me at will".

My mistake, I thought he said contact him. But it was to review the final analysis then comment. I still stand by my comment though. As the host of an appraisal radio show, one would think that he would contact DW prior to throwing him under the bus.

And that's fine. But you can't have it both ways. He threw his hands in the air, stating the sky was falling with his trusty sidekick going "Ahhhh Haaaa" (in an entertaining way) and provided the evidence.

Problem is someone dug and fact checked said daming evidence and found inconsistencies. The dude was busted and he got mad. So, he trashes said fact checker on his radio show for entertainment value. That's a sore loser right there folks.

It's funny how there's always another side to a story.

Everybody that listens to the podcast already browses this site and either likes or doesn't like George. This thread has more views than the podcast. Who cares.

BUT, Seriously? Jewish? And you're thinking lawyers might be getting involved over George Hatch calling Phil Crawford a pimp? That's about the most imappropriate, anti-semetic post I've seen in a very long time.

- SFR fee appraisers are not the sole expression of professional appraisal practice. When are you ever going to understand that?

- "Not an advocate for the profession" is quite the revision from "enemy of the profession"

- You and I may disagree on this one but I do not consider telling lies or traficking in untruths in order to make the point to be a sustainable strategy. Every allegation we make is subject to being fact checked and it doesn't take very many fails to undermine our credibility, boy-called-wolf style.

- And lastly, this is a big one. My observations of what these various players are doing and why they are doing them does not amount of an agreement or endorsement of them. They can be nominally within their rights to do something with which we disagree without it amounting to a crime or an offense against nature. Just because I can point out why they're doing something doesn't make me an advocate for what they're doing.

I turned it off when it reached the part where he was insulting George Hatch. No one in this business agrees with others 100% of the time and disagreeing should be done civilly. I’ve been reading George’s posts for 25 years and he as pro independent appraiser as anyone and is one of the most competent and knowledgeable appraisers in existence. Crawford is spot on most issues, but IMO he owes GH an apology.

Did you miss GH's post where he called Phil Crawford a 'pimp'?

For the record, when Phil Crawford asked me who George Hatch was, I told him he was an old timer like myself, but who thinks he a legend. I NEVER said GH was a legend. I respect GH on many levels, but the seeking out of Phil's home address in an effort to isolate the specific market data Phil used in his waiver example graphs was totally unprofessional, if not a potential USPAP violation. Argue on.
