Placement on FHA Roster

I called the HUD phone number I included in an earlier post and asked about status. I received a message from HUD this morning. They said that they received my application and that it was being processed. Applications take 8-10 weeks for processing. They said they received my application on April 9. I mailed it in March so I suspect the 8-10 weeks starts at the point in which they first log it in and does not include the time it sat prior to being logged in. I imagine that there was a huge pile of applicatons so I could see it taking two weeks from the time it was delived until the time it was logged in.

Mailed mine in March 28th. I got an email last night confirming I had been approved. I'm on the list this morning. Took exactly 10 weeks.

I have been sweating out this process since March. I called the numer with the recording and they called me back and said my paper app was in process as of April 4th. I called back today and they said that as of today they are working on April 4th apps and I should know something in the next 24 hrs. Try this number 202-223-8877 ext. 304. She was very nice and cooperative and it's true, they are working on about a million or so apps.
