Funny you should bring him up this morning! I was looking at the Restb.AI website and sent them a question, asking if they had a product that would be cost-effective for an individual appraiser (ie, without a FNMA or Freddie budget). The response was, "Thanks for your inquiry on our website. If you have any questions I would be happy to answer or meet with you to discuss." No answer to the question I asked, but signed by that piece. I recalled the name, but was not sure why, so searched my emails. Turns out he was previously at ComputerShare, the dirty dogs from down under. His last email to me was seeking a favor to address a question about an old report I sent them. I agreed to, if they paid what they owed me on another file first. Haven't heard back or been paid yet, so won't be dealing with Restb.AI. Skunks of the same scent dwell in the same den!
 
I think some AMC-homunculai scumbuckets are trying to spam our poll - 4 votes "pro-Abomination" by them since the photos of those 3 skunks got posted. :rof:

There are quite a few AMC voyeurs, Buzz reps and similar undesirables who never post here, but hang around like Peeping Toms. It's possible to prank them every couple of years and observe the fun. They're not particularly bright and are gullible as hell. I'm patiently waiting for the opportune time. :cool:
 
Unfortunate but a poll on here is statistically irrelevant with less than even 100 voting. My guess is this is just for entertainment or venting peoples frustration. People don't retire over a new form.

I am using 'The Abomination' as my 'Fake Because'* to do what I already really wanted to do - Retire. :beer:

You appear to be too young to retire. What will you do?
I got problems with my rentals. Yesterday, I got report of my tenants' stolen stuff behind the fence property and another incident in which I had to call a tow guy to remove a car on my parking lot.
Appraising is easy and peaceful (except low fees and new Abomination form are problems) then dealing with tenants' problems.
 
I doubt an accurate/credible poll is possible with residential appraisers. In here there are always the AMC/GSE lurkers who will skew the results. The Buzz has polls, but IMO they’re about as credible as a North Korean citizenry poll on how good a job dear leader is doing. As for Facebook, there are several groups, but they tend to be monitored and dominated by people who don’t allow dissent and have legions of cheerleaders who laud whatever position they have at the moment. It’s clear the overwhelming majority of residential fee appraisers loathe the UAD 3.6 and will probably loathe it even more when it’s fully implemented.

There are at least 8 groups over there. I've been banned in two of them, I quit going t other than to occasionally read about topics. If you go there, you would probably get banned as quickly as I did. The worst thing about that place is there really aren't any sub forums. You have to wade and sift through vast numbers of posts to read anything you're interested in.

Any poll to have even a half way reasonable chance of being close
to accurate within a 3% to 5% +/- error needs a minimum of 1,500 actively practicing appraisers doing mostly loan production reports but you don't go to nursing homes to recruit new athletes anymore than asking the appraisers who are 60 years or older if they will be quitting or retiring because of a new form.
