Both Fannie Mae and FHA require safety covers or similar measures on pools on their REOs. Things that make you go, hmmm...
Since it was not a value issue I changed it per UW. Maybe they will want it changed back tomorrow...

Let them have it their way on the subject to sounds good to me. Maybe you'll get a re inspect fee later when it's full. :icon_mrgreen:
An empty pool is a fall and break yer azz hazard. A full pool not so much as long as you can swim. I believe drowning in a pool is one of the leading causes of death for children. Everyone should know how to swim at least good enough to not drown in still water.![]()

I guess the safest thing is not to have one lol.
Turns out the cheap above ground ones are safer...pretty hard to fall in one of those sticking 4 feet up off the ground!
May not be applicable. In Florida and south Texas (and many other locations), outdoor pools can be heated and used year-round. I know many pool owners who do not use or even own pool covers.Just require a safety cover. Winter is coming anyway.

January temps can be in the 70s here.![]()
