To SFREP users, anyone completed or started a practice 3.6 ? I mainly use Classic, I’ve used Pro for a few reports, but as a creature of habit after a few in Pro a couple years ago I stuck with classic except for those few BOA reports that required Pro. I use photograph-It Plus and comp manager for comps and use the old version of sketch it. What problems and hurdles are you seeing and experiencing with 3.6? I’m still in watch and wait mode and open up my practice 3.6 when I get bored. I read where the first successful 3.6 was completed with SFREP, I wonder if he’s completed any more.

Well.... per AI (what the heck, this is how the 3.6 is going to be completed anyways) recent Facebook discussions confirm SFREP has completed at least 1,000 3.6 appraisal reports. The exact total remains unverified.

I use SFREP and like you, I stuck with classic until a few months ago. After playing around with their 3.6, I realized it's all based on Pro. So I decided to switch over and make myself get familiar with Pro. I figure that way I'm not doubling the learning curve of learning Pro and 3.6 at the same time. After a couple months, it's gotten easier with Pro and there are some things I like better. The biggest issue I've has is just learning where everything is. Also Pro image manager is more flexible. One nice thing is comp manager is the same and can see all of your comps in either version. Have fun

That was a good idea on your part to begin using Pro to get familiar with what is coming with 3.6. From what I’ve read about other software, Sketch-It should work okay despite what the companies pushing the gadgets are saying. I never used Sketch32. I noticed that in a 3.6 report both Sketch-It and Sketch32 are there, plus Insta plan as an option to import Lidar. I also noticed a link to Solomon which I use for cost and depreciated cost depending on the assignment. I do fear when it’s up and running we’ll be forced to link to half a dozen programs that are lining the pockets of the GSE/AMC crime family. Software cost plus a half a dozen Buzz gadgets will be painful, considering the fact that the system bugs are still monumental is inexcusable. One huge question remains, how easy will be it to clone and use templates?

What is the difference between Classic and Pro? I may switch from Total especially since SFREP will allow me to import Total reports so I can reuse my verified comps.

Classic is more old school and traditional, Pro is more modern and similar to Microsoft Office in many ways. With Classic you select the pages and forms from a menu, with Pro it uses a container template system. I prefer Classic because I'm old school, but Classic is more limited than Pro when considering modern systems.

Does the 6-month free trial subscripton include access to both?

Wintotal says the mobile app is faster. However, they are trying to incorporate that more into the desk top. The 4 hour webinar was done on desktop. Didn't seem to be slower than the mobile. It was the photo placement that was faster on the app. They are working on doing it faster on the desktop. But i am listening to the mobilers here to decide which way to go.
All i do is mostly little row homes that all look alike. i'm not crazy about spending more time during the inspection. Most of mine are vacant, so standing there longer might be ok, still debating in my head. But if they are going to be paying me more, i don't mind sitting at home doing it there. Not going to be full time anyway, doing some now from retirement boredom.

I agree with what Flakey posted. If I wasn’t a current SFREP user and wanted to try the trial offer, I wouldn’t bother using Classic.
