I think this is a situation were some good old fashioned commonsense comes into play. We are not machining parts here, and people do not live in bathrooms. I do not believe the authors of ANZI meant to make it Gods Law and it applies to many different international measurements and not just to houses. Therefore I would ignore it as who is going to send the ANZI Police over to someones bathroom to see if it's 1 inch off ? NOBODY -- My rant for today

I admit I am still confused about what the exact question is for the OP author.
There is an FAQ that says count it in the bath count. The ceiling height of 6'9" (or 6.75', rounded to 6.8') is less than 7' - so, how to handle that should be clear as well.

I believe this thread is a half inquisitory "what would my peers do" and half rant about ANSI posting.

I would bet that all public records and the Assessor would have the subject as containing "1" bathroom. I would also wager that whomever re-tiled the bathroom floor, did not pull up the old tile from the subfloor and tiled right over it.

I am in solidarity with the common sense posters.
