If I could get him to sit and stay long enough to hold the dumb end of the tape, I would take him every time. On cooler days when I have a long drive and few inspections he is a comfort to have along. If you work for TransUnion you can't have a pet or a kid in the car.

The Jack Russell Terrorist (oops-I meant Terrier) will run away at any given chance, but there are no rodents in my yard either, but plenty of holes...I can take the lab mix with me to the middle of nowhere and she will stay by my side. Have the electric fence now too, set at max and the Terrorist (Terrier) has learned that the shock is painful.

She is ok, and great to snuggle with at night after she "digs" her hole under the blankets.

Gotta make sure it's not too hot for the dog to be stuck in the car, and that I can find a shady place to park. Otherwise, she stays home.

Cynthia, you got a dog???!!! :new_multi:woohooI thought the landlord wouldn't allow it!

Just one of the MANY reasons we parted company.

I wonder though...should we be listing our furry appraiser companions as having provided assistance????:rof:

Seriously - they ride up front until I get where I'm going, then they go in the back with a biscuit and lay quietly until I return. Good dogs!

I've got the best of both worlds. My neighbor has a golden, she's the sweetest thing, and they gave me a key to their house so I can go get her any time I want. She comes over to my back yard for doggy day care and I give her an hour walk when I can. She goes home in time to hang out when her real parents come home. The landlord met her the other day and likes her, he says it's okay for her to come over AND to go in the house. :)

She looks real good in my new van.......

Sorry you lost your Golden, Michele - they're the best!

Sally thinks I got the van for her! She loves it!

Thanks, Cindy.......they ARE great dogs. He was hubby's bud, and he's taking it hard.

But of course you bought the van for her! LOLOLOLOL - she rides in it, it MUST be for her.......dog logic.

Dog is my co-pilot

My dog Trixie goes everywhere I go. She stays in the car during inspections and no-one is any the wiser. Usually the car is out of view anyway as I park under shade for her. We make interesting 'pit stops' along the way so she gets exercise and a chance to smell and whatever else, and I get a chance to stretch and take a traffic break.

My girls stay home. Most times it is way too hot here for me to leave them in the car.

Also, two 80# dogs take up a lot of space in a civic coupe. Don't even get me started on the dog hair tornadoes that form when the windows are down.....
