The end of NCVForms - Now what

NCV has been perfect for my appraisal work. While I wasn't thrilled with having to increase my annual software cost to $349, I figured, at least that would be locked in with Total for 10 years. And then I learned that to deliver reports through AppriasalPort would require the Silver Package with the ENV converter, for an additional $299 per year. So...annual costs with NCV were $100 (for a complete software bundle that did everything I needed) - new costs to go with Total will be $648 (if I go that way) Ouch!

Needing the env converter is what lead me to NCV from a la mode. Needing the env converter for $299 on top of the $349 will keep me using NCV until someone requires a new form or format.

All the software companies charge for ENV and AI ready formats! NCV did not. That is what is also why I used NCV software . But with all the little glitches and work arounds, I found it less stressful and more productive to pay for the additional conversion process. The old saying, you get what you pay for!

Before Install - Anyone using the latest update 2.4.2 Build 4.8? Problems???

Just installed and then got rid of newest version.
Mapping program did not work right on my machine. :-(

That is the EXACT same thing I've been having trouble with too. The distance to the comps is working fine on Page 2, but the map is not transferring. I've been just grabbing a screen shot of the map before inserting it and then dropping that screen capture in.

If the maping program did not work, you unfortunately got it nearly immediately.

I accidentally put in a "space" character rather than a "00" character when editing with my HEX editor, so the mapping initially failed.

If you redownload the entire program or just the update (http://www.ncvsoftware.com/NCVBSetup2.exe) then it will fix this.

Sometime back when I was playing around with something I put an extra space in a command line. Nothing worked right at all after that. I was shocked at what a little space could do in a program. It gave me much more respect about the details a programmer has to pay attention to.
