The federal banking regulators are very separated. That is likely to change in future. If they consolidate including maybe GSE's.........................It would create efficiency and oversight at same time. I can see that happening sometime.

Govt could buy GSE's out in a heartbeat. Well, it would be taxpayer buying.

Why buy it when you can keep it in a perpetual bankruptcy and collect all its profits .
