USGS comes out with a study saying the 1.7 TRILLION tons of buildings in NYC are causing the land to sink. Immediately the USGS climate alarmists go berserk and say a - it is climate change and sea level rise which, b - it makes climate change even worse. Idiots. Almost all of NYC is built upon unconsolidated glacial detritus. Queens is on muck, Brooklyn on sand (remember the old bible story about building on sand?) and the rest of NY is either glacial till(mixed size gravels) or down to the hard rock bedrock of Manhattan. The clays are slowly sinking due to the pressure squeezing the water from the tiny pore spaces...a sort of urban "fracking" if you will.

Worse probably is San Francisco. The squeeze on the rocks and specifically the faults below the city, may well be the trigger for the next "big one" and that the 16" sinking of the Millennium Tower is evidence that the ground is not able to support these huge structures...I would not set foot in that building let alone live there.

The idea is so ludicrous that batteries will seamlessly replace fossil fuels. Only an idiot believes it...which apparently includes the bulk of our administration today. The absolute terrified response that somehow the "climate change" that may or may not happen is invariably bad and no good outcome is possible flies in the face of the advances of civilization made during the Egyptian dynastic period, the Roman period, and the Medieval Warming Period.

Finally a climate expert joking said climate change causes everything from crop failure to gout... only to find out that indeed someone has attempted to link gout with climate change... supposedly gout events occur more frequently with dehydration therefore, global warming means more hot weather means more dehydration means gout attacks... gimme a break.

Freddie and Fannie Updates


The two Agencies, under the guidance of the FHFA, continue making the changes that the industry keeps following, given 60-70 percent of production follows their processing and underwriting guidelines. This includes the increasing issue of climate change.


The Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) issued its 2022 Report to Congress. The statutorily required report provides information about FHFA’s 2022 examinations of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac (the Enterprises), Common Securitization Solutions (CSS), the 11 Federal Home Loan Banks (FHLBanks), and the FHLBanks’ Office of Finance.


Of note, the FHFA increased its efforts to address the climate-related risks faced by Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and the Federal Home Loan Banks. The agency’s latest annual report to Congress outlined the progress made by FHFA’s eight climate-focused working groups.

i live in the concrete jungle. i have always wanted to have potted urns. i have now helped with some urn greenery in front of my house within the city concrete jungle.
i did however, have to chain the urns to the steps. there are anti climate people here who would take my urn contributions away, to resell them. not easy being a climate crusader.
