Without human activity, and according to the Milankovitch cycle, we should be on the way to a new Ice Age. That is to say, the earth's temperatures should be much colder than they are. Thank goodness for CO2.

However, if the trend keeps getting worse, which it is, then by as early as 2070, it is predicted that the states in the South will become uninhabitable due to high heat and related problems.
