These are the Morons Who are Running Climate with Our Government

The earth is estimated to be 4.5 billlion years old... more or less. Humans have reliable weather/climate data for only a few hundred years....and extensive data for maybe 100 years. How then does anyone have the arrogance to think they know? The earth's climate is certainly changing.... as it has since the earth began. Since when is fact determined by consensus? Or by the loudest voice?

Human nature. At least some humans' nature. Same story repeats again and again. Copernicus &Galileo comes to mind. Not too long ago was Paul Ehrlich and company. Today is just the current crop of stick-in-the-***-don't-dare-question-my-opinion narcissist "experts". Like Hoyle...they will likely go to their graves in absolute denial as history and progress leaves them behind. Only question is how much damage and wasted time/money they will generate as they flounder and sink.

He got rich off a book that has been dead wrong from day one...And Dr. James Hanson predicted in the 1980s that Manhattan would be "under 4' of water" by 2000. It wasn't and after 40 years still isn't. Now he has issued a new report same ole BS. We must act by ***** because that is a "tipping point". Tipping Point? Isn't that what we have listened to for 40 stinking years about how we'd reach a "tipping point" by 2000, 2008, 2013, 2014, 2020? Where is that "tipping point" if not always sometime in the future? And long after Ehrlich is dead, long after Hanson is dead, and long after Gore and Kerry have been pushing up daisies, that tipping point will be sometime in the future.

Only 2 major events have altered the climate rapidly. One, an asteroid strikes earth large enough to kill huge swathes of people, and two, a mega volcano like Krakatoa or Tamu. Even Yellowstone is mega volcano status and once spread a thick coat of ash over most of the USA.

To be clear...Galileo and Ehrlich (I shudder to put those names next to one another) are examples of opposite sides of the issue. One fought the establishment...the other became it. For those without Google, Hoyle (while contributing positively to other important physics advancements) insisted to the bitter end that we lived in a static universe long after expansion was observed.

Now the new James Webb telescope in the sky are calling the "settled" science of the Big Bang into question as they find galaxies where they are not supposed to be...

Can the universe have been built out of nothing?

Yup. Interesting times. Maybe Hoyle was right? Point is we really don't know yet. The arrogant, however, DO know...even tho they really don't. They operate as if their belief is absolute truth. That's how we get kooky ideas like distributing coal dust across the arctic to increase heat absorption to prevent global cooling. That was what...less than 50 years ago they wanted this? Complete and total nuttery. This is my favored solution to the Fermi Paradox...arrogance and stupidity.
