Rick thank you so much for your ISP there are almost four million people in Los Angeles and you cannot even find two to write a letter of recommendation. You have asked appraisers to make up phony letters so you can get on the VA roster and even offered to exchange letters so they can get on the VA roster .

I am sick with your post and doing something that I have never done. I am forwarding your post to the Senate Committee in Washington and to the head of the VA and to both my ( California ) Senate and Assembly members. My father is a WW-2 Vet on the battleship Iowa who joined at 17 years old and now is 90+/-years old. You are not what our Veterans need and frankly you should be ashamed trying to pimp out fellow appraisers.

I have never asked the moderators of this forum
to shut anyone down for speech or positions I have not agreed on but in my opinion you should not be on this forum or even hold a license.

You have some serious problems.

With over 20 years of experience I'm sure that you know other appraisers and have an opinion of their work and other appraisers know you and have opinions of your work. Do you belong to any professional associations? Have you developed any relationships with other appraisers while attending educational events? Did you have a mentor when you entered the field. What appraisers do you call when you have an appraisal question?

You are quite correct! The problem is that of having issue with those scamming the system by lying and cheating as if there is nothing wrong with it. Have you even read the application documents or the ethics section of USPAP?

We do work for the banks, so we learned from the best.

Are you talking about appraisers or politicians?

This is a matter of ethics. It is also a matter of trying to circumvent the system that was intended to verify the abilities of an applicant for the VA Fee Panel as well as to assure the VA Region in which the appraiser works that is applying, that they have the requisite experience and geographical competence to do the work that VA wants to be done for our Veterans. As a 20 year USN HMC with 2 combat tours in Vietnam as an FMF Corpsman, I would say to the OP.......Not NO BUT HELL NO.

I'm sure all you ethical appraisers quit working for the "too big too fail" crowd after you discovered the extent of the corruption. Never see you guys call them out. Why?

I quit doing appraisals for many of those lenders, and have called out a few as well. Don't equate what you think with reality. You likely will be very wrong.

many or all?

Do you know them all? I doubt that you do. And, if you choose to cooperate with an unethical request, that is up to you. Not all request are so unethical as to be able to recognize them as such. This one is very recognizable as unethical.
