Well, in the discussion in the other thread, the program taking off the signature was created by Adobe

Let me rephrase it?

Why did we have to submit copies of our signatures to the AMC's or Certain Software companies that "HAD to Have It" for "Security Reason" or "Proper Plugs for the software". What are they doing with our Signatures?

Where is the "security" in forms software that let's the user create his/her own signature file? I don't need to "steal" your signature to become you - I can create my own signature that says I am you!!

No system is perfect - if you look objectively you will find issues in all the technology we use.

Do you have a checking account? Did the bank require you to sign a signature card to be held at the bank for security reasons? Do you stay awake at night wondering if a bank employee is going to steal your signature and forge a bunch of checks? The plot thickens. Who know what evils lurk in the hearts of man? You asked why some forms software vendors require users to send a signature to them, and I provided the answer - because it is much more secure than allowing the user to self generate the signature.

As for your other question, anyone who would send their digital signature to an AMC needs to have their head examined, IMO. Anyone who would do such a thing deserves whatever they get and could not be protected from their own lunacy by any system.

No, but I have the ability to check my accounts for any discrepancies or unusual activities. And have had descripancies, and was able to catch it early, get my money back and have and investigation on the perpetrator. And now, my account is strongly monitored.

You said ("forms software"......"let's the user create" ). We/User did not create it. Many of us had to send a JPEG and they sent us back as a plug-in/download. What happened to the original JPEG? I had to call one software company to make sure they did destroy it or delete it. They responded back too. This goes to show that they are warehousing it.
