A mid-priced home in suburban Cuyahoga County is now $245K, raising affordability concerns

CLEVELAND, Ohio - This won’t surprise those in the housing market of late, but the median price of a single-family home in suburban Cuyahoga County has reached nearly a quarter-million dollars.

This represents an increase of a whopping 58% since ahead of the pandemic, with a like increase - though at a smaller dollar amount - in the city of Cleveland.

The median price for suburban homes countywide from June through September surged to $245,000, cleveland.com found in analyzing county sales data from the same four months each year going back to 2019.

This is up from $225,000 a year ago, and up significantly from $155,000 ahead of the pandemic in 2019,

go ahead...call it a declining market :rof:

Up by 58%? That's too much.
Over here, prices haven't increased that much which is good indicating no bubble market here.

FHFA’s Pulte Says Fannie, Freddie Eyeing Stakes in Tech Firms

Nov. 7, 2025, 12:05 PM EST

Bill Pulte, the director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, said that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are looking at ways to take equity stakes in technology companies.

“We have some of the biggest technology and public companies offering equity to Fannie and Freddie in exchange for Fannie and Freddie partnering with them in our business,” Pulte said Friday during an interview at a housing conference hosted by ResiClub. “We’re looking at taking equity stakes in companies that are willing to give it to us because of how much power Fannie and Freddie have over the whole ecosystem.”
