What are you doing to cut costs?

myfax is $10 per month and includes a toll free number.

So how do the costs of an internet fax compare with a land fax line? I estimate my fax line costs me about $30 a month. Also, what about sending a fax, how does that work? I have a few regular clients who still send by fax. It's notifying everyone and changing advertising that really concerns me.

The major difference is putting the pages you want 2 fax onto your computer. You can do it easily with a fax or scanner. I assume you have both.

The biggest problem you may have to deal with is if you have regular clients who are used to your current fax #. You may need to inform them of your new fax #. I may be totally wrong on this though. You may be able to transfer you current fax # over to them. I have never had to do it, so I do not know the reality of that. Call Efax, etc and ask if that is an option.

You pay a flat fee a month, billed to your CC. I pay $16.95 (and that is high) for Efax. Shop around for lower prices, as I am sure they are available via competitors. They have to cover your area code. Efax offers everything you could ask for. Make sure the cheaper comps offer the same features.

E Fax plus magic jack........Livng on the cheap..

exTremefax: $79/ year

I have been monitoring fuel mileage closely for the last few months, and was holding very steady until they started putting in that crap ethanol. Through the first four months of the year I was sitting right at 20mpg. June was the first full month on the ethanol blend we have to use here now. Mileage was cut to 17 mpg for the month, a 15% drop. That equates to paying $4.60 per gallon. These %$#kers are going to bankrupt this whole country before too much longer.

Yeah, what POs me is the big investment bankers throwing out predictions about where they believe oil prices will go. It gives the speculative scum more reason to keep buying and driving the price on up. Somethings gotta give soon. The combined negative economic forces hitting our country right now are going to push us into a deep recession or worse. I was optimistic about the economy earlier this year, until oil prices have continued to rise at a rapid pace. One other thing I heard yesterday, Israel could attack Iran between now and the election. I can only guess what that's going to do to oil prices.

By the way Greg, how is Magic Jack used? I understand it's only about $20 a year plus an initial signup fee, and you can take it with you wherever you go. Sounds like a good alternative to AT&T. An alternative to cell phones is what I really need, with a shared minutes family plan, I'm paying over $100 a month (or much higher if you use too many minutes).

I was paying $40 a month for my fax line. my fax line ends in 9900. So I didnt want to lose the number. I contacted MyFax becuse thier internet ad stated that you can keep your own fax number. They said yep. They assigned me a temporary local fax number. (which I didnt bother to give anyone-I just kept using my old number to my old fax machine) After about 3 or 4 weeks I received a fax from them on my e-mail stating "test" and from that day foward everything is on my e-mail. I didn't even have to cancel my AT&T account. They did it for me. $10 a month. Well worth the $ to get my faxes in PDF format that I can attach to my digital work file in WinTotal and I never have to bother printing the 30 to 40 pages.
