It's not going to be a great year. Flat at best.
Chas. Kindleberger said there is always a trigger. What that trigger is, isn't always obvious. Will there be a black swan event that precipitates a correction?
Always a trigger, mostly negative ones. Some super optimists believe there is a slim chance of a "neon swan" event or week, ie. all the tariffs fall into place favorably for us, Russia and Ukraine cease fighting and sign and genuine long term peace agreement, Russia brokering an Iran nuclear deal, combined with market "hopium" and a big run. Who knows?Chas. Kindleberger said there is always a trigger. What that trigger is, isn't always obvious.
I'm talking more about individual trades and sectors not the indexes as a whole. The markets good or bad always have opportunity and that's why while one is suffering another is doing well. The one I'm not real bullish on is real estate but i could be wrong there will be some regional builders doing well but National ones it's a tough market.
I took my profits on NVDA. I bought it cheap. I only did so because I needed to raise some cash. But AI is the next area of growth. Also robotics as an offshoot of AI. I just think the market is going to be a bit chaotic for the next 6 mos. to a year.I like the banks and homebuilders. I don't like NVDA and tech in general.
