Show me one tariff so far, DJT implemented, that has adversely impacted our economy, just one.

I truly think you are probably a fairly highly intelligent person that has such a fix on DJT that you cannot extract yourself emotionally and see things from a more realistic point of view.

I do not feel sorry for you but think you must be wasting so much energy on this fixation it has to be depressing.
Trump's China tariff. Midwestern farmers of soy and other produce required a government bailout to the tune of $12 Billion.

Actually crop prices are low and they've been hurt by a lot more than tariffs. But the tariff wars will shake out as agreements are reached. And most growers have sold or have beans in the barn on contract.

Parachute on plane. Deployed locally 10 years ago.

Cirrus was the first to install parachutes on their airplanes and even include them on their light jet. the other innovation that is becoming more wide spread is called a "home" button. Basically, should the pilot become incapacitated, anyone can push this button, and the plane will automatically communicate with flight control, locate and land at the nearest airport. It automatically extends the gear, adjusts the flaps, applies the breaks, etc. The passengers don't have to do anything other than hang on.

that kind of takes the adrenaline out of mid-air crises, no?

With the exception of the tragic accident in DC, the other recent accidents were either pilot error or in the case of the medical flight which was most likely an equipment malfunction/secure storage issue. The DC accident may have multiple issues, from an over worked controller who was covering two positions, to poor aircraft control, to misunderstood communications, to failure to identify nearby aircraft and possibly faulty altimeter equipment on the helicopter. Reports have mentioned that the helicopters altimeters may have been giving different readings, differing by up to 100’. Now even passing that close with the jet wash and wing vortex disruption it would have been a very dicey situation for the helicopter.

Fern, try to blame Trump all you want but in order to become a certified air traffic controller it takes about four months of schooling and two to four years of on the job training. So despite billions of wasted and hidden money, this was a situation that the Biden Administration failed to address. I will not blame it directly on Biden as he had no idea whether he was punched or bored. Maybe I can blame Jill as she and Hunter were the ones running what few cabinet meeting they had.

There has always as far as I remember a shortage and overworked air traffic controllers. Many close calls and all that was needed was new leadership and cuts and devasted morale and that's what happened when Trump came into office. It was fragile and we'd been lucky but Trump was the one to break it.
