Wild Fires In LA

We had three guys working in the horizontal drilling fields get caught in one about a decade ago in Wheeler County. They were in their pickup, but they didn't make it. That always surprises me. Those flames are tall, but not very deep and I always figured if I saw a wall of fire coming at me and I couldn't turn around then I would kick it up to 100 and get through them before I roasted to death. But apparently, that is not a good plan.

Hardly emotionally invested, just amazed that the process of fighting fires, or technically, impeding the speed of the fires by removing or weakening its fuel source has become a political matter. It's incredible what a clusterfukk it has become.

The way to prevent fires in high winds, is to bury all the overhead electrical lines that whip together, generating sparks which cause the fires. Which would be cost prohibitive. Maybe we should rescend the rural electrification program.

You could clear cut 15' on either side of the lines. That would reduce some of the threat from electrical wires. Your right about the underground cost though. Under more typical conditions it is 10X more costly to do underground, in the hilly or mountainous areas that cost could be substantially more.

For every action there is a equal and opposite reaction, notice that action comes first. What you claim to be an obsession is nothing more that a reaction to the actions of the left. The right didn't create, promote and basically force DEI on the country, that was the left. It wasn't the right that insisted that a biological man was a woman and changed title 9 and promoted minor transition. It wasn't the right that opened up the borders and let in excess of 15M illegals in.
