3 AM is a questionable time to be out eagerly doing anything now. Some people need arrested. Living outside the city limits I didn't really pay much attention to what goes on in the city that time of day until my wife passed away, but now that I'm out and about "occasionally", it's been amazing to me how many rounds I hear squeezed off that time of morning. At whom, and for what purpose, I never know, however it makes me want to "up-armor" my Toyota.

Increasingly, the guys her age have it figured out. In her age bracket the liberal women outnumber the liberal men by almost 2:1. Not all those liberal men are simpanzees, so chances are that most of those women will get to enjoy the full experience of going manless in their lives. As I see it, the situation is self-correcting.

Well, the women DO still have a dozen other methods of managing their own reproductive systems, none of which require the knowledge, consent or participation of their partners.

All it takes to make any of them work is a modicum of intellect and competency.

And yes, these alternatives all exist because men invented them. Is this a great country or what?

I used to think so. America walked pretty tall after the first Desert Storm. Eight years of George W. Bush ruined us in the eyes of the world and of ourselves, however. Now we would prefer to simply sit and gaze into our navels.

I was simply chiding your "great country" observation. Abortion has been with us since long before recorded history. You know what happens when you outlaw something like that. The same thing that happens when you outlaw premarital sex, alcohol, or drugs. You simply turn a large percentage of your citizens into outlaws. The activity will still take place, albeit in an unsanctioned, unsafe, & illegal manner.
